STATISTICHE AWARDS SEASON
I loro verdetti sono molto preziosi per l’Awards Season dato che solitamente riescono ad influenzare i membri votanti dell’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) che designano i vincitori degli Oscar, anche se negli ultimi 25 anni la convergenza si è ridotta dato che il vincitore del Golden Globe come Miglior Film drammatico ha vinto anche l’Oscar 10 volte (l’ultimo è stato Oppenheimer lo scorso anno), mentre solo 3 volte c’è stata una corrispondenza con la categoria come Miglior commedia/musical (l’ultimo film è stato nel 2019 Green Book). In compenso tutte e 25 volte il vincitore della categoria Miglior Film drammatico ha ottenuto la candidatura all’Oscar nella categoria Best Picture, mentre 17 per la categoria Miglior comedy/musical.
